PROJECT OVERVIEW

The inaugural Australian Fashion Summit featured a whole day of presentations and conversations with industry experts. Environmental, social and ethical issues were tackled with an equal measure of reality and optimism along with the most exciting opportunities presented through digital progression and technological innovation.

CLIENT OBJECTIVES

The Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival is Australia’s largest fashion event and an annual celebration of fashion, arts and ideas for everyone to enjoy. The Festival inspires and connects designers, fashion brands, and retailers with the consumers who keep the Australian fashion industry vital and vibrant.

OUTCOMES

Delivered the inaugural Australian Fashion Summit in one day, across two venues and closing with network drinks for all Summit guests.

We were pleased to deliver 10 informative sessions creating an information packed day, covering topics such as New World Retailing, Diversity and Saving the Planet.

The Summit featured a total of 28 people with our event host Glynis Traill Nash, Fashion Editor, The Australian leading the day.

We were delighted to have David Briskin, Chair, VAMFF; The Hon Martin Foley MP, Minister for Creative Industries; event partner Alicia Kemp, Fashion Category Manager Major Projects, AMP Capital open the Summit. Partnering with leading Fashion University RMIT, we incorporated three students to provide a youth voice during to both welcome guests and provide a call to industry.

Over 400 guests attended to great acclaim.
